It needs tabs on the east and west of the board, and a v-score along the north border (a common need). How is this best done? Since when I generate the panel, I only have the option to do a global "job spacing".

I have two suggestions.  The first is you can do more than a single "global" job spacing in a panel; the Panel wizard will permit independent X,Y spacing between boards (plus variable margins for each side) to offer more space for v-score among any border.  https://support.numericalinnovations.com/discussions/topics/14000016309
