Internally our tools import DXF files and not DWG. Our software uses a popular 3rd party tool called AutoDwg (ActiveX) to convert any DWG file to DXF, and then processes the DXF file (instead of DWG). This has worked well for many years, however nowadays corporate Firewall/Anti-virus software have become more intrusive and more likely to prevent automatic registration of 3rd party tools during installation.
The easiest solution is to output DXF (instead of DWG), and import the DXF
However if that's not possible, please try any of the following:
Automated Installation:
During Installation the AutoDwg (ActiveX) 3rd party tool is automatically registered - unless corporate Firewall, Anti-virus software or limited Windows account privileges prevents the tool registration.
Right-click over the Setup file (*.exe) and select Run as Administrator. Depending on your company user privileges it may allow you to automatically register the DWG conversion tool.
Manually Register the DWG converter control on your system.
Click the Windows Start Button >>All programs >>Accessories
Find the "Command Prompt" and right click it to choose "Run as Administrator" option to open the command prompt window
Use the command regsvr32 to register the ActiveConverter64.dll.

Quick Fix: DWG and DXF files are the same (except DWG is a binary file). Using any CAD tool, save your DWG as DXF; and then import the DXF into ACE. Here's more specific details, https://support.numericalinnovations.com/support/discussions/topics/14000019602

DWG Conclusion:
Essentially you will need to either Register the AutoDWG (ActiveX 3rd party tool) on your computer or Substitute DWG with DXF files.
