The SMT Stencil/Paste Table is used to Interactively test for various Paste pad pitch, ratio, and etching violations. Results are color coded for easy visualization.
1. Status:
Color coded item to display any potential Paste Pad warnings or errors.
Yellow = Warning: Paste Pad is within 10% of limits.
Red = Error: Paste Pad will not etch correctly or provide poor results.
* - Denotes specific Pad values that are in violation.
2. DCode
The DCode reference for each SMT stencil pad. All Pads have a DCode associated which contains information about the shape/size for the Pad.
3. Shape
The shape of the Paste Pad (i.e originating from DCode reference).
4. X-Size
The width (in X direction) of the Paste Pad (i.e originating from DCode reference).
5. Y-Size
The height (in Y direction) of the Paste Pad (i.e originating from DCode reference).
6. Pitch
The pitch used for Paste Pad. FAB 3000 automatically scans the Paste Layers and calculates the pitch.
7. Volume
The calculated volume for each Paste Pad.
8. Area Ratio
The calculated Area ratio for each Paste Pad.
9. Aspect Ratio
The calculated Aspect ratio for each Paste Pad.
10. Top #
Total Count of this specific Paste Pad on the Top Paste Layer.
11. Bottom #
Total Count of this specific Paste Pad on the Bottom Paste Layer.
12. Comments
Helpful information to explain specific warnings and errors for each Paste Pad.
Sample comments:
Warning: Area Ratio (0.679606) is within 10%.
Error: Area Ratio (0.05) is too small.
Error: Aspect Ratio (0.2) is too small.
Error: Pad X-Size (0.0254) too small for etching.
LAYER SIDE:
Interactively choose which Paste Layer Pads to display. Once you have selected a different value the entire table will be updated. Choose from:
Both (Top and Bottom paste layers)
Top
Bottom
AREA RATIO LIMIT:
Set the Area Limit to highlight any Pad Paste errors. The default is 0.66
Note: You can set the permanent default value for AREA RATIO LIMIT in the Options dialog. This is the default setting used everywhere from Reports, Query, List, etc. Go to menu: Setup / Options..., tab "Default Values", and select option "SMT Stencil - Area Ratio"
ASPECT RATIO LIMIT:
Set the Aspect Limit to highlight any Pad Paste errors. The default is 1.5
Note: You can set the permanent default value for ASPECT RATIO LIMIT in the Options dialog. This is the default setting used everywhere from Reports, Query, List, etc. Go to menu: Setup / Options..., tab "Default Values", and select option "SMT Stencil - Aspect Ratio"
THICKNESS:
Set the Stencil Foil thickness to highlight any Pad Paste errors. The default is 5 mils (0.127mm)
Note: You can set the permanent default value for THICKNESS in the Options dialog. This is the default setting used everywhere from Reports, Query, List, etc. Go to menu: Setup / Options..., tab "Default Values", and select option "SMT Stencil - Foil Thickness"
EXPORT...
Used to export the table results as a Microsoft Excel file, CSV (Comma separated), or Text file.
TOTALS LABEL:
A quick summary of the total Pad counts, Volume, and Violations currently displayed in the table. Totals are displayed as ( Top / Bottom ) respectively.
DEFAULT UNITS: The current FAB 3000 editor Units will be used in the Stencil/Paste table. To change the units displayed in the Stencil/Paste table, change the FAB 3000 editor units - menu: View / Units or select from the lower-right corner of the editor. https://support.numericalinnovations.com/discussions/topics/14000018812
