Separate plated and non-plated thru holes in a design here the designer included both on the same drill file.

Hi. So I just received the new version 7 in the hopes that this version had the functionalty to separate plated and non-plated thru holes in a design here the designer included both on the same drill file. I have browsed the help files and videos but I'm not sure where I should be looking. If you could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it!

There are two suggestions to define non plated drills on the same layer.

SUGGESTION #1:  Change Plated Item in NC Tools Table

1.   Import Drill file.
2.  Go to the Drill Table (menu:  Setup | NC Tools Table...)
3.  Go to the Plated column, and uncheck any tools which will be unplated.

SUGGESTION #2:  Create a Separate layer for Non-Plated Drills

1.  Import Drill file.
2.  Create a New Layer for Non-Plated Drills.  Make sure to define layer type as "Drill NonPlated".
3.  Select all Drill holes which are unplated.  To save time, try using the Selection Filter.
4.  Go to Properties (menu: Edit | Properties...) and change the layer.
