Would b really nice to have center-to-center object measure command
Every other CAM software has it, I don't see why Fab3000 shouldn't. It's very useful in many circumstances. One commonly used example is to find width and height of the border. Measure object-object is not very useful for this because the border traces is not always zero.

Yes, you may perform this with FAB 3000.   FAB 3000 uses "Object Snapping" which is similar to many high-end CAD systems (like AutoCAD).  If you wish to measure the center-lines of traces, simply choose object snap to be any of the following:  END  or CENTER + END
