Yes, you can alter any of the DFM/DRC rules so you are not stuck with 5 mils (that is just the default value).

Here's a screen capture of the DFM Rules Management.

1. Un-check any options you do not wish to have included in your DFM Check.

2. DFM Rules can be saved and reopened.

3. Use the Units tab to control the units used for the DFM Checks.
