It would be a real time saver if I could set a grid in FAB so boards could be rough moved, and snap to the nearest grid point.

To set snapping to a Grid, please perform the following:
1. Assign Grid Spacing. Go to menu ( Setup | Set Grid...)
2. Assign Snap to Grid. Go to menu ( View | Snap | to Grid ).

Note: Pressing 'F9' will allow you to toggle snap modes while in the FAB 3000 editor.
