A common problem when converting gerber files to other CAD formats is that gerber files are generally messy (ie. contain overlapping objects, use multiple line strokes to fill in metal areas, etc) that can cause poor results in the final translated file.
FAB 3000 has the ability to "clean-up" these messy gerber files and output clean outlines for all geometries.
After importing gerber data, try the following:
1. Go to menu: File | Export | DXF...
2. Select "Using Outline" for Fill technology.
That's it, FAB 3000 will generate outlines.
Note: Depending on the complexity of the Gerber, this process of generating outlines may be time consuming.
