FAB3000 Does not respond and hangs up when importing gerbers. Everytime I import gerber files, the tool hangs up and does not respond. I am using an activated product c/o Analog Devices Inc.

To determine the cause, please perform the following:
  1. Go to menu: File > Import > AutoLoad...
  2. Select the FAB3000 example gerber folder,  C:\Numerical Innovations\Fab3000V8_64\examples\274X
    • This is a set of really simple and old gerber files.
  3. Press Next to begin the Import process...
If FAB3000 stalls again, then it's most likely:
  • An external application (i.e corporate firewall/anti-virus) which is preventing FAB3000 from running - please view the following for more details, https://support.numericalinnovations.com/support/discussions/topics/14000020697
    • Note:  It is extremely common nowadays to have a new software application that is not recognized by corporate firewall/anti-virus.  
    • Please install the 32-bit version of FAB3000 and everything should be fine.
If FAB3000 was able to import those sample gerber files without any delay, then try:
  • Avoid selecting any Gerber files on a network or remote location.  It's always best to copy files to your local drive first, and then import as normal.
  • Send any sample Gerber files to our support team and we'll determine the reason.
