The Layer Type detection rules are already "embedded inside" FAB 3000. You can assign any new Layer Type rules you prefer and have them used before/overwrite any FAB built-in rules.
Note: In older versions of FAB, we used to have all the rules included in those text windows. It just looked messy with so many text rules and people mistakenly altered some of those built-in rules and had to restore them back, or were confused during editing which rules were theirs, and which we're the FAB default rules. This method allows you to enter what you feel is best first, and then if not FAB will use it's default rules.
If you're having any difficulties with FAB detecting layer types feel free to provide us a test-case sample and we'll be happy to review.
