Over the phone support is not effective in most cases because there is nothing we can state over the phone that will instantly fix the problem. In our experience, we need to first obtain as much detailed information from the customer (written description, screen capture, sample files, etc.) and then spend time to deduce what is causing the problem; nowadays there are so many variables and it can't be quickly done in "real-time" while the customer waits over the phone.
