I would recommend to let FAB 3000 continue running.
Note: FAB 3000 is actually fine however Microsoft Windows requires feedback every few seconds, and there are a few loops in the FAB 3000 DFM Check which may not respond immediately to Windows request until it's completed. Typically this would occur on plane layers which have only larger polygons with cut-lines.
Feel free to send us any sample files in a support ticket, and we'll be happy to review them and determine any potential optimizations.
